Hello everyone. I have been running Ubuntu on my desktop since Hardy Heron and have since upgraded to 9.04. I just purchased a Dell studio 1537 and HATE Vista. The problem is there are specific Dell Drivers such as the touch pad and touch keypad which control volume, WIFI, Media, etc. There is also a built in webcam and audio system (microphone and speakers). Is there any feedback on if Ubuntu will run on this laptop or am I stuck with Vista because of all of the ad ons this machine has. The processor is an intel core 2 duo with 4 gb of ram. Thank you

Give it a try. Boot from the live CD first, and if you have no problems, you should be OK to install. (Keep your recovery partition though.)
