Changing the menu bar(Applications, Places, System) to icons only.

Is it possible to take the long words out and just use icons? The Applications can just be the Ubuntu logo, the System can just be the icon of the box with things sticking out, and I guess places could just be some sort of folder icon.

Anyway, is this possible? I can't seem to figure it out if it is.

If one of the things you would like to change is the panel's "Applications, Places, Systems" link, you can replace it by right clicking, Add to Panel, "Main Menu". That puts just the Ubuntu symbol which will access the others. You can then remove the bigger "Menu Bar" menu by right click, Remove from Panel".

The ability to change text and icons on menus and panels is standard in Linux Mint.
