Hi all
Just recently I have been having issues with my desktop under GNOME. It happened once or twice in the past, but over the last few days it has happened more often.
Essentially, it doesn't refresh to show newly added items. For example, I dragged an MP3 there to remind me of something and it didn't appear. When I went in to the Desktop folder via Nautilus, it was there. Same thing this morning when I tried to create a folder. I had to launch another (visible) folder from the desktop, and then the icons appeared.
I have tried refreshing the desktop (admittedly a windows instinct) by hitting F5 - But that takes forever for the cursor to stop spinning and actually does nothing.
Any ideas?
