I've been searching for a guide on how to fully setup th rutorrent web ui for rtorrent using lighttpd. I have it mostly setup and working however i'm getting an xmlrpc error -501 when I open and close the config from the web ui, and any plugin's I install to the plugin directory cause the ui to hang at the loading screen.

Anyone have this working on jaunty server?

Ideas? Hints? Really wish there was more information on rutorrent, for something with such a spiffy interface there is quite a lack of info on it.

I grabbed the latest version from svn and it worked.

I also had a look at rutorrent. Obviously alot of work has gone into this - it's very similar to the excellent uTorrent WebUI.

But one thing nags me - after all the hard work of doing this, there's almost no info available on it... and it's from Russian programmers... - it just popped up on the scene overnight... Is this code 'clean'???

Or am I being paranoid?

(For those struggling to get it working, it's similar to rtGui (which rocks, BTW). There's an installation guide for setting up your Apache webserver with RPC etc at http://code.google.com/p/rtgui/ . Once rtGui is working, you should find ruTorrent is working)

rutorrent is great. I've been using it awhile.
it gets better every day.
