I've been contemplating working on some certifications in Linux, since I haven't got a piece of paper that says I know what I know about Linux; Looking at the LPI certs, I had some questions if anyone can answer them:
1. Anyone LPI certified here?
2. Is there really no where in the USA to get training/testing for LPI? Their approved training partners (https://www.lpi.org/caf/Xamman/partner) list doesn't even give the option of USA.
3. I tried some practice tests online, and they seemed to be obsessed with making sure you knew every arcane method of text-twiddling at the console; I fancy myself fairly experienced at the CLI, I've used awk/sed/vim/emacs for a few years. But even I had never heard of some of the commands in this practice test. Is the real test anything like this?
