I'm looking for an equivalent to VNC that my Dad could use to access the home server with low latencies. Is Citrix payware? Also, is the server even linux compatible? Cause that has very low latencies it seems!

Yes, I do tell him to learn the command line and ssh the server instead, but he's used MacOS all his computer-using life and the CLI is a new thing for him...bla bla etc.

thanks
The one and only srynznfyra (that signature is new!)

I'm looking for an equivalent to VNC ... with low latencies. FreeNX.

But in another thread we discussed this one:
http://www.yuuguu.com

Maybe that's more like it?

Is Citrix payware? That ... and it's a Windows product.

I had a look at yuuguu, and that's not actually applicable for what I want (vnc from desktop to server) - at least not from what I saw, it looked more like a screen sharing program where there's a human on either end.

But NX is brilliant! :popcorn::guitar:
