Yes, I am nearly back to using Ubuntu again. Yesterday, I installed on my dad's friend's laptop (which he doesn't want anymore) Ubuntu Linux 9.4 from a CD I burned with ISO burner.

Anyway, there is a wireless card. My laptop's a Dell. I forgot and thought it should've connected to the internet immediately after I installed it. I have no idea the name of any hardware (thank god for lspci), and have no information gathered to set up the wireless. Is any help possible?

Why would you say thank god for lspci if you dont give us the output? ha Lspci output please. When you post a thread try to find more info and not let others do it for you.

EXACTLY MadHatter! That's exactly it! As to yo question SonicRacer, yes...it should've connected. BUT! Did you set up the connection status to your router? It can't unlock the door if you don't give it the key....

Sorry, but my ability to figure out linux is fuzzy. I just don't know what or where the key number is.
