Hallo everybody.
I am facing problem with my avast antivirus. I make a short cut of avast into my desktop and I am trying to scan whole system as administrator. While scanning

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.0/resource0

the computer become hang. Then I have to shut it down using emergency button. After that when I start my computer and try to launch avast a window is popped up informing

Deleted stale lock file '/root/.avast/lockfile-root'.

I can not understand what is going on. Also when I normally open avast not as administrator and try to scan the "sys" directory I get several warning. I attach a screenshot to describe those warning.

Waiting for reply.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have Xubuntu and I downloaded the Debian version of Avast to my desktop, then double clicked and it was automatically installed under Accessories.

I usually run an on demand scan on my Home Directory. Things may be different in Ubuntu though you will still need the Debian version.

My regards

PS As you are probably aware, Avast has an excellent reputation, so good luck.
