View Full Version : [ubuntu] Jaunty server MD5 Sum errors

Hi, I have tried multiple times to install Jaunty server without success, each time the install fails with a md5sum error and not necessarily on the same file.
The md5sum that is computed before burning the disk matches the content of md5sum.txt on the disk.

I have installed the desktop version of Jaunty without any problems. Has anyone else seen this problem and have a fix for it?

TIA,

AfricanTiger

Hi, if the md5sum do not much before burning to disk try using a torrent to download the iso.
If the iso md5sum matches before you burn, try burning at x4 or less to avoid data corruption.

partyboi is right, sounds like you need to burn at a slower speed since you said your iso MD5SUM matches exactly. Those fast burn speeds work well with a data burn, but when burning an image they frequently leave corruption.
