Hey All,

After quite a bit of pain over the past few days, I have finally gotten Ubuntu Server (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/#) 9.04 installed, and successfully installed Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 on top of it from the alternate CD.

However,

I cannot get the mouse to work. I have tried PS/2 and USB. I have made sure that my USB drivers (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/#) are enabled on the Server.

It is my understanding that with 9.04, HAL takes care of alot of these functions, so my xorg (Section, End Section, etc etc etc) is the default as 9.04 sets it.

I am wondering if I should just grab Jaunty Jackalope 8.10, and install it over Ubuntu Server to see if the mouse works?

Any ideas?

If you use a different release, go for Hardy 8.04. It is a long term support version and will be supported until 2013. (Servers only)
