dual boot vista ubuntu graphics fail

ok first id like to apologize if this is in the wrong area.
i used wubi to install ubuntu along side of win vista.
my issue with the install is that the graphics are well, jacked up.
when ubuntu boots it loads the main ubuntu boot splash then it becomes choppy lines of colors and thats it.
is ubuntu failing to detect my graphics driver and if so is their a way to correct that problem?

It's possible there is something wrong with the graphics detection, which leads to the following question: What is the graphics card model?
