Well, probably not new but I've found some good applications in the last 6 months. Being for example lshw (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=default&section=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=lshw) and acetoneISO (http://www.acetoneteam.org/). Wine has evolved quite a bit if you haven't been around since its 1.0 release and Linux now has ext4 filesystem support with kernel version 2.6.19.

For the most part its all the same, you can get Ubuntu related news here (http://www.ubuntu.com/news/pressreleasearchive) and set up RSS feeds here (http://www.ubuntu.com/rss.xml). Additionally, you can browse around distrowatch (http://distrowatch.com/) for Linux and Ubuntu related news.

KDE 4.3 (http://kde.org/announcements/4.3/index.php) is really looking good, I'm trying it out on my Karmic partition, it's beautiful.

Oh, yes KDE 4.3.

I think I will install Arch with KDE when the next version of UBuntu is released. I am tired of reinstalling every 6 or 7 months.

I wonder if I will be all right with Arch...
