I installed Ubuntu 9.04 from scratch on a laptop. Standby works, but Hibernate simply locks the screen. This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04. The SWAP is located on a USB flash drive and the / directory is EXT4. I have tried a sudo apt-get install hibernate, but this fails to fix the problem? Any suggestion or notes on how to document this bug in Ubuntu? Hibernate worked fine in previous versions on the same computer.
