View Full Version : [ubuntu] Change Default Icon Size

I have an Acer Aspire One, and because of my small screen, desktop clutter has been a problem for me. I've used roughly 10 different operating systems on it, and I much prefer Ubuntu. However, I had Eeebuntu for a while, and I noticed that the desktop icons are much smaller than the other distros I'd tried. I would like to use Jaunty, but have the smaller desktop icons like in Eeebuntu. I've done some googling, and I've only come across 2 answers, neither of which work for me. One is to individually resize every icon. The other is to open Nautilus and edit the icon size in Edit > Preferences > Views > Icon View Defaults. But all that does is edit the icon sizes in the file browser, not on the desktop. Any suggestions?
