Netbook remix install with USB HDD

Just wondering if its possible to install netbook remix with a usb hdd as i dont have a flash drive handy?

If you use Unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/). It can download to your HD or flashdrive.

cant get that to work. under hard drive mode my usb hd not listted under usb mode with list all selected i choose my external hdd and boot from it but its just stuck at a black screen with a flashing "_" (no thats not a smiley its an underscore lol) and doesnt boot
