running Hardy 8.04 LTS with compiz and emerald, cube, everything-- and for some reason my window borders disappear whenever I restart. Searched the forums and followed various advice to no avail. Is there any other info I need to supply for this question to make sense?

-Thanks for looking.

Do you have emerald added to Window Decoration (http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/Plugins/Decoration) plugin in ccsm (http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/compizconfig-settings-manager)?

If you run fusion-icon in your start up, try changeing the command from "fusion-icon" to "fusion-icon --no-start"
I had the same problem untill I tried this.

This is hard to believe, but as soon as I remembered to check in here the problem disappeared. Nonetheless, I followed your recommendation and restarted and it seems to have worked, thanks for the help!

Love the tat btw =)
