hey all,

a question for all you, with my eee I have two HD

4gb
16gb

as the smaller one is supposed to be a tad quicker, I installed ubuntu onto this one

but as time grew, so did the stuff on this hard disk...
now my question is: is there a way to move all programs/configuration files/and other stuff to the other HD without compromising too much speed or performance

thanks in advance

You should be able to just save non-system files to the 2nd hard drive. Will your system let you mount that drive? If not you may want to look into setting up a /home on the second drive. Check out this site to learn more about setting up /home (http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/separatehome).

Otherwise your next best thing will probably be to back up your files and reinstall to the other drive.

Let us know how it goes.
