I have an interesting problem.I have Drive C: and Drive D: which has windows xp installed. I first installed ubuntu inside windows xp on C: drive and it runs well but it does not have a lot of hard drive space. I believe that it is 15 gegabyte. but I also installed ubuntu in Drive D: and it did not show up at the startup and so I thought that if boot.ini showed that ubuntu is installed as it showed as follows

Windowsxp drive (0)
windowsxp drive (1)
ubuntu C:ubuntu

I added another line in the boot.ini
ubuntu D:ubuntu

whenever I tried to use the add-on ubuntu it says that file HAL.DLL is missing from windows/system32 and please replace it

I am wondering is it HAL.DLL of ubuntu or windows xp it expects. I can replace it but which one and how can i use ubuntu I have installed on Drive D: could work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.
