I got a crash problem with with firefox and now its behaving in strange way, anyway I was wondering how to totally remove firefox, I mean really a complete removal not like you remove it and when you install it again you notice that you have the same old configuration, addons and everything else. Is there any way how to totally get rid of it?

Open Synaptic
Search Firefox and mark for complete removal
Then go to your home folder
Show hidden files and delete the mozilla directories

I did exactly as the previous steps mentioned.

Yes, there are 2 different versions of firefox. Shiretoko just won't go away. And I want to use 3.5.6
