I tried to install some themes from gnome-look but all of them I downloaded can't load the gtk in some windows. I've seen that only the themes that ubuntu come with work in all windows. But is there any way to repair or make it work?

That's because admin apps by default won't use the themes you have selected. To fix this you can do
sudo ln -s ~/.themes /root/.themes
sudo ln -s ~/.icons /root/.icons
sudo ln -s ~/.fonts /root/.fonts

This is my first time using a Linux platform and I'm having a lot of issues with themes and icons. Sometimes the themes work and sometimes it tells me that it won't work properly without the icons or fonts, and sometimes it say "not a valid theme." even though I downloaded it from Gnome-look. I know I have to D/L the icons but how do I apply them? Please help.
