I search for threads on how to install/update a driver but notice no one ever seems to get instructions on just how to do it.

I have 9.04 installed on an old Toshiba laptop. Just put in a Belkin F5D8013 N card. Have downloaded and extracted Linux driver for this card's chipset from Ralink's site using archive manager. Now that I have it extracted how to I get 9.04 to install/update the driver?

Thanks,

Sam

Is there a README or INSTALL text file in the folder?

If so, open them and see if instructions for install are present.

Why did you need to update a driver anyway, and why did you replace 5 minutes of work with 40 minutes of reinstalling Windows?
