Hello, I'm wanting to install Ubuntu on the system stated in the title. I run Ubuntu on my main Desktop system, and my father needed a dedicated computer for online banking, so without notifying me, he bought this computer running... The OS of which we shall not speak. He wants to run Linux on this computer for security, so I've started downloading the Ubuntu ISO. Do you think that Ubuntu will install with the necessary drivers for this system? He needs at least WiFi Drivers and Graphics drivers that work well. It has an Nvidia 8200 if I remember correctly, and an Atheros WiFi card.

Does anyone know if it works?

Thanks,
IceRayn

While you are in the fridge, grab me a beer, please, lol. Check out these links, they should help you set things up. Do make sure you get the right Ubuntu image aka AMD64.

Run the Live CD and see if everything works. If it does, then it should work upon install.
