i was having some issues with ubuntu running some of my programs so i had to go back to windows xp. that didnt give me my wireless anymore. so i decided i wanted to dual boot from xp. while i was setting up the partition, my dvdrom ejected because it randomly ejects. because of this, i cant access 40 gigs from my hard drive. is there any way to get the space back?

I think a little mor info might help:
1) what program were you running?
2) was it on a liveCD?
3) what OS can you boot into, and what does it show about the partition table info?
