I initially intalled ubuntu 9.04 using wubi successfully. Then, for a version compatibility issue, I had to uninstall and go to 8.04. I had issues with that (I forget the specifics) so now I'm trying to install 9.04 again. This is windows xp, with a Dell Precision.
Now, when I boot into it, I get the following:
"unkonwn or nonu-unique volume type (--probe-all lists possibly conflicting types)
mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on /root failed: no such device
mount: mounting /dev on /root/dev failed: no such file or directory
mount: mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: no such file or directory
mount: mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: no such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
No init found. Try passing init= bootarg.
BusyBox v1.10.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.10.2-2ubuntu7) built-in shell ash
Enter help for a list of built-in commands
(inittramfs)
Please advise!
Thanks,
Anathama
