I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not Jaunty
is compatible with an ATI Radeon RV100 [Radeon 7000/VE]
card. This is my wife's work desktop that's running
Intrepid and I can;t be experimenting with it.

Thanks!

You won't be able to install a restricted driver for that card because AMD dropped support for legacy cards/chips and the older restricted drivers that DO support those cards won't work with Ubuntu 9.04.

Best thing to do would be to boot from a LiveCD and confirm that you get video (and other hardware as well).

Hey Mark, it is good to see somebody knows something about this, I installed Ubuntu 9.04 x64 on a Dell PowerEdge 1850 which has the ATI Radion 7000 on board, I had to use Safe Graphics mode to get it on there, now I have Video of 800 x 600, do U know any way I can fix this? Or do I have to Change Operating systems or Computers? I really like Ubuntu.
