I haven't used Ubuntu upgrades after Gutsy, and upgraded to Jaunty a few days ago. I am quite shocked in my configuration of Jaunty and need help:

I can no longer search for packages that I use so often: tex, kile, etc. I think there are repos I need to add to "Third-Party Software" under Software Sources. What are they?

Nvidia restricted driver is not automatically downloaded. How do I download it?

For the nvidia driver go to system>administration>synaptic package manager and type nvidia into the search field. Highlight and install the ones with 180 in them. please see attached screenshot for further details.
