Windows maximized at opening

Hello,

I have a quite simple problem but I can't manage to fix. Whenever I open a window or program, it automatically opens maximized. My resolution being low (1024), it is disturbing. Is there a way to resolve this ?
Note that it happens with Nautilus but also with other programs and that compiz is activated (although it worked fine in the past).

Do you have maximus running? Check your startup apps list and/or your process table to figure this out. maximus is the program in UNR that automatically maximizes applications, since this is what a lot of netbook users want.

Bingo ! I guess it was installed when I tried out the Netbook Remix package.
