I use Windows XP in my laptop. About 4-5 months back, I installed Ubuntu along with Windows. However since then I did not log in to Ubuntu & always worked on Windows.
Now I find that I have forgotten my Ubuntu log-in USER-ID and PASSWORD - serves me right :). And I would like to re-install Ubuntu again on the same space (I do not have any personal file in Ubuntu)
My worry is when re-installing how do I ensure that the new Ubuntu install happens on exactly same Hard Disk area where old Ubuntu was installed. I do not want my WINDOWS area getting impacted as I have many critical files in the Windows area.
Any checklist/action that I need to take to minimize risk of reinstall.
