Hi,

I add the Animiation, Focus = Dodge, but nothing happens.

Is there something else I need to do? I removed the default Focus Animation in case Compiz was still using it.

Did you set the window types for it to apply to? Here's what my setting looks like, if it's helpful.

Thanks, I didn't know what to put in there as there aren't any instructions with Compiz of exactly what to do. I would assume it better if these window behaviours was automatic.

I will give your settings a try - cheers.

"Automatic" isn't always a good thing; doing it this way allows you to specifically set rules and animations for certain types of windows

How do you learn to apply them though?

Edit - It worked a treat, BTW. Many thanks.

It's not hard, most of the time; menus are usually "Menu" or "PopupMenu" or DropdownMenu" or things like that. Dialog windows are usually "dialog", normal applications are "normal", etc. Besides, even if you don't know what type of window something is, you can select it automatically with the "Grab" button. You choose a characteristic (Class, Title, Name, etc) and then click on a window and it will fill it in for you. Check out the screenshots
