View Full Version : [SOLVED] restoring backed up Sticky Notes?

I backed up my Hardy files, repartitioned and did a clean install from the Ubuntu 9.04 iso distribution, and was able to restore my user's Thunderbird and Firefox profiles without a hassle.

However, I can't detect where, exactly, Sticky Notes (not Tomboy) stores its text. I need to restore that as well, for the perfect recovery in the eyes of my family -- any idea where those notes are?

Found! The Sticky Notes file is at:

~/.gnome2/stickynotes_applet

Restoring this file is not sufficient, however. I have to manually cut and paste notes from the backup to new note because of some kind of phase error. Still better than memory. :-b
