hi
i'm running ubuntu studio 8.10 and want to upgrade to 9.04 unfortunately i don't have a network connection and can't download upgrades from the internet. i'd like to use 9.04 because the realtime kernel works in this release so i can use apps like rosegarden and other midi features i have not been able to get working in 8.10.
my question is if i have the ubuntu studio install on dvd and all the other upgrades i need also on dvd's can i use this to upgrade my system without having to use an internet connection?
thanks
jj

First you need your Intrepid to be updated.Try to do it with Keryx. (http://keryxproject.org/download/)When your 8.10 is up to date download Ubuntu 9.04 from here. (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntustudio/releases/9.04/release/)you can upgrade without internet, but for updates you will need Keryx again.Maybe there is other way to do,and I will let that to someone else.
