Java trouble

Loving the new distro, but java refuses to function despite my downloading of it. I distinctly remember that last time, it just worked once I got it off synaptic and now I've downloaded it but it isn't working with my browser, despite my having downloaded Java. Anyone?

Do you mean flash player? Go to myspace.com and as soon as you get there you will be offered three different versions.
