Is there a way to enable the Linux frame buffer w/o recompiling the kernel?
I am running Ubuntu 9.04/Gnome and trying to do Qt/Embedded development. However, it seems like the frame buffer is not enabled by default, and according to the Framebuffer HOWTO, recompiling the kernel is the way to enable it.
I am wondering at this point if I should just switch to Kubuntu. Does KDE have better support for Qt and embedded development?
Thanks,
