Just trying to install the 9.04 server on to a Joybook S42 and after the initial menu of Install Ubuntu, it goes into the blue screen where it prompts you to Choose Language and goes no where. It wont let me use the keyboard as in no input no matter what keys i depress.

Also tried the 8.10 Server from the Ubuntu Disc set and it has the same problem!!

Anyone else had this problem with this particular issue?

Thanks guys!

Checksum your .iso, burn at no more than 4x, and check the cd for errors at the opening menu.

Amazing.. it was the keyboard. I plugged in a USB keyboard and it worked well to a certain point. Then all my burnt and CDs sent from Ubuntu wont read properly.

So after wasting 2 hours of frustration this morning, I have a laptop thats U/S. Pretty awesome start to the day.

Note: I can read other CD's on this drive with NO problems under other OS.
