I have a 1280x1024 LCD monitor and a 1078x768 CRT monitor connected to my nVidia card. I ran TwinView for some time, which displays like a single screen spread across the two screens. I decided I would prefer the separate X screens option, but I've run into problems with launching programs.
I've not figured a reliable way to launch just any program on the second monitor. Putting launch shortcuts on the second monitor's desktop launches some programs on the second monitor and some on the first monitor.
I suspect it's caused by the "bad" programs remembering where they were the previous launch. How can I get them to forget?
