You could take all the keys off, then vacuum, then put the keys back on.

Don't take the keys off unless the keys are still very sticky after a mild cleaning -- it's often very difficult to reinstall them properly.

if you have a hair blower use it.it helps if above option seems very complicated

I blow it out with canned air.

real compressed air, the cans are usually pretty useless.

buy cheap keyboards and replace them often? not a green solution, but effective.

Spittle and an old sock... well, it keeps people from borrowing my laptop!

Seriously though, I've found that a small paintbrush --like the kind that comes in a child's water color paint set -- is pretty good for getting hair and lint out from between the keys. Just run it along the rows. If you do that before vacuuming you'll get a lot more out in a lot less time.

The OP was referring to a laptop keyboard.

Anyway my laptop keyboard replacement is cheap and it could be bought from online store (~10USD) as it is made in China and the size and layout are almost standardized (among other made in China low cost model).

So I might take your advice to replace it when it gets really dirty. ;)

A firehose and a towel. Why? Isn't that what everyone does?

I use the vacuum cleaner in the blower mode and blow in between the keys. Simple and safer than using a hair dryer (it could damage the circuitry).

^LOL... I guess that happens when people do all kinds of stuff near computers. I might be one of them, but I certainly take care not to have anything near my laptop.

Many a true word spoken in jest! If all else fails, do what's in the cartoon - something very similar works for me! And a moist (but not dripping wet) cloth, followed by a dry cloth can be useful too.
