A little confused on the Updates.

Any program loaded into the system with Add/Remove Programs (or Synaptic) will be updated when it is updated into the repository.

i.e. When AcidRip is updated, and put into the Ubuntu repository, my update manager will notice this, and ask me to update my computer with the new version of AcidRip.

So then one would assume that this works for driver updates as well.

How do you get a current Nvidia repository?

Drivers are a different story being proprietary. I go to the nvidia website and look for the newest driver and install it myself. they have install directions there.
