I have an integrated video card on my Packard Bell iMedia desktop. The machine itself has 256MB RAM installed and 64MB of this is being used as video memory. I know this can be altered in the BIOS but I was wondering what the minimum allocation of memory I could give the video card would be. It seems to rum perfectly fine with 32MB, how much lower could it comfortably go? I am using a very minimal Ubuntu install (from the minimal CD) with a basic Xfce desktop.

Thanks in advance!

I would say leave it at 32mb. You already cut it in half, any more and I think you would be sacrificing performance.

It's intergrated so I don't think I can upgrade it. Also im not expecting to put much strain on the video card as im using a very minimal, lightweight desktop.
