So Java's not installing in anything resembling an easy way. I can download it okay, but it won't let me do anything with my download. Anyone? I'm using Firefox 3.5 (Shiretoko). Also, does anyone know what's up with the name?

I remember I downloaded once the binary file and it wasn't so hard to install but hey, I think would be better if you just go to Synaptic and check the sun-java6-jre package. Make sure the sun-java6-bin and sun-java6-plugin are also checked but I think they will automatically checked after you select the jre package.

Let me know if u have any trouble
