I've read that Grub2 (to be in Ubuntu 9.10) will "support NTFS", whatever that means. Does that mean that Grub2's stage 2 can reside in an NTFS partition, such as that of WinXP or Vista, and boot the Windows boot manager like Grub Legacy can do from an Ubuntu partition? IOW, can Grub2 function without the presence of Ubuntu and without a dedicated partition?
