Posting here as I can't help but imagine it's a GNOME issue on some level...

When I'm in Thunderbird (current release, Jaunty) and click Write or Reply, the message composition windows opens in the foreground, but DOES NOT HAVE FOCUS!

This is really annoying if you're going to start your e-mail with a capital C and all of a sudden you've marked all your messages as read, because the inbox had focus and shift + c is the keyboard shortcut for mark all as read...

Anyone encountered this before? Google and the search function here aren't producing any leads...

I've asked this question (http://superuser.com/questions/18525/thunderbird-doesnt-raise-or-give-focus-when-you-click-write-or-reply) on SuperUser.com.

You should use this site from now on instead of forums that just end up being full of useless answers in no logical order.
