problem at "Select and install software" when installing ubuntu server

i'm trying to install ubuntu server on to my computer.
(i new to servers)
as i'm installing, when i get to the point:
"Select and install software"
I get errors. it just says "installation step failed"

Is there something wrong with my CD, or my computer, or what?
What do i do?

It could be something wrong with the CD. You can try the CD integrity test (opening menu item). Have you used the same CD to install in other computers?
