Internet connection

Hello people
i am using HATHWAY internet connection and have just installed
Ubuntu 9.04.
Plz tell me how to configure internet in Ubuntu.
i also have WIN XP in my PC and Hathway works fine.
i called up HATHWAY support they said i wil have to share my connection.
Plz explain..!
