Does anyone know if the Netbook Remix version is a 32 or 64 bit OS? I thought that it was a 32 bit system, but after problem in loading Adobe Reader and Realplayer, I'm beginning to think its a 64 bit system?

Thanks.

Since UNR is built for Intel Atom processors and Atom processors (http://www.intel.com/products/processor/atom/specifications.htm) are, for the most part, 32-bit, I would assume that UNR is 32-bit.

I was under the same impression, however the system monitor indicates two processors and standard Adobe reader, flash, and Real player would not install until I forced it, indicating that the Remix was a 64 bit version. Is there any waty to tell for sure?

Thanks.

In Terminal enter the command:

arch

If it responds with x86_64 then you are running in 64-bit mode.

It is 64b but it sometimes needs 32b packages
