I downloaded skype-debian_2.0.0.72-1_i386.deb and when I trying to install it appearing some error:
Could not open 'skype-debian_2.0.0.72-1_i386.deb' The package might be corrupted or you are not allow to open the file. Check the permission of the file.
I have only 1 user and I didn't block anything.:confused:

One option is to try downloading it again. "Corrupted" usually means "damaged in some way", which can sometimes happen with downloads.

does it work now? daft question but are you running 32bit ubuntu? there is a seperate package for the 64 bit, if you need the download link for that one instead give me a shout..
