Hello,
My Dell Vostro 1510 monitor broke. I can get my external monitor to display everything from the startup to the Xubuntu loading screen. As soon as it loads, I'm forced to use my broken monitor, and I can't see anything on it. How can I use my external monitor in place of my broken laptop monitor on Xubuntu? I would prefer a command line answer because I can't really see anything on the monitor; just enough to bring up the terminal.

You can setup seperate x sessions with your internal and external monitors. You need 2 device, monitor, screen sections and monitor serverflag sections with mouse and keyboard as core devices, so you can move your mouse between displays.

I wanted to do that, but I really can't see my monitor enough to set it up. =/

Have you tried the Fn+F8 button? You may have to press it multiple times before it will have the external only on.
