Hi,

I just reinstalled ubuntu 9.04 via usb and now when I load ubuntu all I get is terminal style interaction. Everything is working okay its just that I must have missed some point where I should have installed the graphical interface. Is there a way to do this from the command line.

The usb setup I used was zcat boot.img.gz > dev/sdb1 and then restart. I partitioned manually and reformatted root and swap but left everything else home/windows/etc.. as it was. The swap partition can still be accessed from windows so no major problems just missing the friendly user interface.

Thanks for any help,
beginner.
