Updating Wubi installation

I back in 2008 installed on my computer using Wubi Intrepid Ibex, and now I am thinking of moving on to the newest Ubuntu release. The thing is that I have a lot of things set up on Ubuntu 8 right now, so I thought I'll update to version 9 using the update manager. Will the fact that my Ubuntu is installed with Wubi affect the installation in any way?

If there is enough free space, it should work. (I did not got that far, because i did not have enough free space).

yyylv is correct because lots of folks take the default size parms for installing in Wubi, which generally allocates just enough space to do the install. Use the Partition Editor to check to see how much free space you have in Ubuntu. If there is no entry for the Partition Editor, you can try installing GParted through synaptic.
