dual boot from hard drive for flash drive

I'm trying to set up an installation of Karmic to test and hunt for bugs.

I'm out of blank cds and won't be able to get to town for a few days.

I created a flash drive installation using UNetbootin. However, I cannot boot straight from my usb port.

Is it possible to modify the grub config file to allow the option to boot from the flash drive after it's been mounted?
