View Full Version : [ubuntu] Can't adjust volume with buttons while in menus etc..

Hi guys,

I have a HP Pavilion dv9747tx laptop running Ubuntu 9.04 x64 with all updates installed.

I've noticed that Ubuntu ignores volume adjustment (using the hardware volume controls) while I'm in the
menus of Gnome or any other program, and/or if I have a right-click context menu on screen.

Is this a bug or by design? ie. Is it reasonable to expect to be able to adjust the volume (using the physical volume buttons), no matter where I am and/or what I'm doing in Ubuntu?

Thanks..
Lil Jon
